Vault by Vans x Baracuta
This season, Vault by Vans partners with the iconic British brand Baracuta to present an elevated collection of footwear and clothing.
From its humble beginnings as a manufacturer of rain wear in Manchester, England, Baracuta rose to world fame as the brand behind the iconic G9 jacket, designed for the golf course and commonly referred to as the “Swing” jacket.
Like Vans, the brand is a true classic that never goes out of style and this collaboration pays tribute to the logo and heritage of the brand.
Brothers John and Isaac Miller founded Baracuta in the industrial heart of the Northwest from England. They produced rainwear for established brands such as Burberry. In the 1930s, the Miller brothers began to develop the name Baracuta as an independent brand. They started creating unique designs, each with an alphanumeric code name.
In 1937 they developed the G9, and the following year, the clan Fraser granted the Millers permission to use the so Scottish Fraser Tar on the lining of this popular jacket. Today, this legendary print is still valid on the brand, as seen in this collaboration.
The Old Skool VLT LX leads the sneaker collection. A silhoutte that places the side stripe in a fusion of checkerboard print and the classic Fraser Tar.
On the other hand, the Sk8- Hi VLT LX is a nod to Baracuta’s roots. Showing a small pocket on the upper part of the boot. While the slip-on VLT LX crosses the original logotype with a checkerboard.
A selection of apparel completes the Vault by Vans x Baracuta collection. A classic jacket in two color combinations, blue and burgundy. As well as a shirt and polo following the same aesthetic line.
The collection is coming out the 5th of December in selected stores.
