Vans and Anderson .Paak Celebrate Family and Community in their second collaboration
The collection will be released the 11th of December in Vans
Last month, Vans welcomed Anderson .Paak to the family as the brand’s first official global music ambassador.
This December, Vans and AP team up to launch a second drop of footwear, apparel and accesories designed by the artist.
Inspired by his sons Soul Rasheed and Shine, his second collection is dedicated to the concepts of family and community, and will be available worldwide starting December 11th.
Using Vans’ original skate silohuette as a canvas, AP has reinvented the Old Skool in two fun and original colorways, taking inspiration from their sons, Soul and Shine.
With a corduroy top, the Old Skool Soulito, is decorated with a very warm and cozy purple top.
On the other hand, the Old Skool Ziti uses multi-panel construction to showcase the color block of the upper, as well as being equipped with a suede in blue, purple and green.
As a tribute to the family, the shoe selection includes children’s sizes. And as a detail that makes the difference, each shoe has a waffle sole in green, to stomp along with the color of creativity.
To complement the collection, AP designed a reversible Chore jacket for men that offers two styles in one.
For the finishing touch, complete the look with the Vans x AP bucket hat in two complimentary colorways.
The words “yes” and “lawd” are found on the inside of the shoes. This is in reference to the first album of AP in collaboration with producer Knxwledge “Yes Lawd!” from 2016.
An already classic and beautiful album, a major accomplishment in both artists’ careers.
